New "How to write proper" webinar series.
You're in the right place to sign up to my webinar (just scroll down if you're in a hurry).
I'm working on the next writing webinar, which will run this Friday (July 23rd, 2pm) - and thanks for all the kind comments.
Getting started is the biggest nightmare for any writer, so I shall give you 20 helpful ideas for beginnings, plus some of the brilliant letter openings by my late friend Bill Jayme.
Bill was widely seen as the best direct mail writer in the world - he was certainly the wittiest and most civilised. He and his partner Heikki also gave me the perhaps worst hangover I ever had (with pretty stiff competition) last time I saw him.
When he retired he was charging $20,000 - $40,000 a letter - which would be 3 times as much now, I guess - and had a queue 18 months long.
I shall also take apart one of two letters I wrote for the Arsenal Supporters Trust to prevent the club being taken over by a dodgy Russian billionaire (is there any other kind?).
This letter doubled their membership - then I wrote another, which I have already dissected for subscribers to the Drayton Bird Commonsense programme. They may have helped save the club. To be honest I haven't kept track, but they certainly helped for a few years.
Funny thing is, I did them for nothing. And I shall answer a question one subscriber asked.
Below you can sign up for all 3 and save £18.
If you already bought the first one, and want the discount on all three, there's a button especially for you.
You can download all of the webinars and watch them at your leisure.
However, the first one was out of sync with the sound, so it's being 'fixed'. (I have sorted out this out for the next one). So please be patient for your download link - it will be mailed to you.
Below is the button to buy a recording of the first webinar.
Below here is the button for the second webinar on 'How To Write Proper'.

By the way, you don't need a PayPal account to pay by PayPal. You can just tap your details in. But doing it that way has one irritating flaw - you are not automatically sent to the Webinar page once you've bought.
But do not despair! Although PayPal do a magnificent job of hiding the link that takes you there you can see what to do below.
